Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
The short version. FRAGSLIDE is made by one developer in Croatia. The game links your account to your Steam ID and stores the callsign you pick and your progress, so you keep your unlocks. Purchases are paid through Steam: we never see your card details. We don't sell data, show ads or track you across sites, and we don't store your IP address. Bug reports you send include a game log and, if you leave the box ticked, a screenshot.
1. Who we are
FRAGSLIDE is developed and published by PROGRAMELLO, obrt za računalne usluge, a sole proprietorship owned by Andrija Rupić, based in Šibenik, Croatia (Croatian crafts register no. 98446711). PROGRAMELLO is the controller of the personal data described here.

This policy covers the FRAGSLIDE game (including test builds), the website fragslide.com, and the tool we use to post FRAGSLIDE videos to our own social media accounts.
2. What the game collects
Your account
- Steam ID. You sign in through Steam. Steam tells us your Steam ID (a number that identifies your Steam account) after confirming the sign-in, and we use it to link your FRAGSLIDE account. We don't receive your Steam password, email address or payment details.
- Test builds. Before Steam sign-in, test builds create a random account id (it looks like
fs_followed by letters and numbers) with a matching recovery code. Keep the code private: anyone with it can use that account. Test progress is wiped when the game launches. - Callsign. The name you choose. Other players see it in lobbies, parties and matches.
- Progress. Account level and prestige, weapon levels and stats (such as kills and headshots per gun), challenges, unlocked and equipped cosmetics, your Credits balance and its history, and the date you last played.
- Match history. For each match: mode, kills, deaths, assists, placement, result, XP earned, length and time.
- Moderation status. Whether an account is a tester and whether it is suspended, with the reason.
Purchases
Credits can be bought with real money through Steam. Valve processes the payment in the Steam overlay, so card and billing details stay with Steam. For each purchase we keep an order record: order number, the pack bought, the price and currency, its status, and when it happened. Steam may also tell us your country and currency so the right price is shown.
While you play
- IP address. Our servers see your IP address while you are connected. We use it only in memory, to limit abuse (for example, how many custom rooms or reports one address can create) and to enforce bans. It is not written to our database and is gone when you disconnect, when the limit window ends (at most one hour) or when the server restarts. Our hosting provider may keep it briefly in its own network logs.
- Match summaries. For each match, we keep anonymous totals: mode, map, length, number of players and bots, how many left, and the median ping and frame rate. These are not linked to any account.
Bug reports and crash reports
When you send a report (F8, or from the menus), it includes:
- what you type in the note and the category you pick;
- your callsign and a short tag from your account id;
- technical details: game version and build, window size, browser engine and operating system version, ping, frame rate, and the match you were in (mode, map, room and your loadout);
- a log of the last moments of play: game events, network messages and the game's console output;
- a screenshot of the game window, unless you untick "Attach screenshot".
The game also sends an automatic crash report when it crashes. It contains the same technical details and log, without a note or screenshot.
On your computer
The game saves your account details, callsign, settings, loadouts and some cached images in the game's local storage. The desktop app also keeps crash logs in Documents/FragSlide/crash-dumps and screenshots you take in Pictures/FragSlide. These stay on your computer unless you send them in a report.
What we don't collect
No email address, real name, birth date, precise location, contacts, hardware ids or payment card details. The game has no text or voice chat, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools.
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Running your account and matches, saving progress and unlocks | Steam ID, account, progress, match history | Needed to provide the game you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Selling and delivering Credits | Order records | Needed for the purchase (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Keeping accounting records | Order records | Required by Croatian tax and accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
| Fixing bugs and crashes | Reports, crash reports, screenshots, match summaries | Our legitimate interest in a working game (Art. 6(1)(f)). Untick "Attach screenshot" to leave the screenshot out. |
| Preventing cheating, fraud, abuse and attacks; enforcing bans | IP address, Steam ID, moderation status, order records | Our legitimate interest in fair play and security (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Understanding how visitors find the website | Anonymous website statistics | Our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
We don't sell personal data, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you beyond the abuse limits above.
4. Who else handles it
- Valve / Steam (Valve Corporation, USA) distributes the game, handles Steam sign-in and processes payments. Valve's own privacy policy applies to your Steam account and payments.
- Railway (Railway Corp., USA) hosts the game servers. Game data is stored on servers in the EU (Amsterdam).
- Discord (Discord Inc., USA). Bug reports are posted to a private Discord channel that only the developer can see: the note, callsign and account tag, game details, screenshot and log. Full account ids are hidden. Server error alerts go to a second private channel.
- Umami (Umami Software, Inc., USA) provides the website statistics described in section 8.
- Our website host serves fragslide.com and may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested).
Where data goes to the USA, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers offer under the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Account, progress and match history: for as long as the account exists, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Order records: for as long as Croatian tax and accounting law requires, even if you delete your account.
- Bug and crash reports: until the problem is handled, and no longer than 12 months.
- Database backups: daily, each kept for 7 days.
- IP addresses: not stored (see above).
- Test build accounts: wiped when the game launches.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete the data linked to your account, to restrict how we use it, or object to uses based on our legitimate interest. Email [email protected] with your Steam profile link, or your recovery code for a test account, so we can find the right account. We answer within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Croatia, that is the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), or the authority where you live in the EU.
7. Children
FRAGSLIDE is for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 16, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to play, and under 18 to buy Credits. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Our website
fragslide.com uses no cookies and shows no ads. To see how many people visit and where they come from, we use Umami, a privacy-friendly statistics tool. It records the page visited, the site you came from, browser, device type and country. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store your IP address and doesn't follow you across other sites, so it can't identify you. Fonts and images are served from our own site. Links to Discord, Steam or social media take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
9. Our social media publishing tool
We use an internal tool to post FRAGSLIDE gameplay videos to our own accounts on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram through their official APIs. The tool is not offered to the public and signs in only to FRAGSLIDE's own accounts. It uses only the data needed to publish: our own account's basic profile, upload permission and the videos and captions we post. It does not collect data about other users of those platforms. Sign-in tokens are stored only on our own computer and can be revoked in each platform's settings at any time.
10. Security
Connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS and secure WebSockets). Admin tools are protected by a secret key and lock out repeated wrong attempts. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authority as the law requires.
11. Changes
We will update this page when the game changes how it uses data, and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also announce them on our Discord.
